Wastebuster and West Sussex County Council are inviting all primary schools across the county to take part in the Recycle It Right competition – a fun, free, and easy way to boost recycling knowledge in your school community, with the chance to win fantastic prizes.
The aim is simple: encourage as many of your pupils as possible to complete the short Recycle It Right quiz (Wastebuster Star) for your school. Each completed quiz counts as one point. The more quizzes completed for your school, the higher you’ll climb the leaderboard.
The competition is designed to help schools educate their communities about how to recycle correctly at home – reducing contamination in household bins and supporting better recycling habits. The quiz takes just a few minutes to complete and includes engaging videos followed by multiple-choice questions. It’s a brilliant way to spark conversations at home about what can and can’t be recycled.
Wastebuster provides everything you need to get started, including a downloadable competition pack, template letters for parents, and posters to help promote the competition in school. Many schools also choose to run a short assembly to raise awareness and boost engagement – often resulting in a noticeable increase in quiz completions.
The competition is already underway, so now is the perfect time to get involved and make an impact before the final deadline at midday on 11th July.
